The band Wandering Star was created in September 2005.
In May 2005 Luisa Bertolatti, a half-British half-Italian singer and actress, is tired of singing by herself and for herself only, harbouring the strong desire to create a folk rock voice and guitar duo.
Marco Grisa, the director of the play she's working on at the time, introduces her to Simone Folador, an up-and-coming guitarist from Varese. Simone has a degree in guitar, obtained via the Pareggiato F. Vittadini Institute in Pavia. He is in charge of creating and improvising the music while Luisa and her fellow actors are on stage. Luisa is instantly impressed by his talent and style, and after the show she asks him to collaborate with her. After an initial hesitation, due to the little time that Simone had at his disposal, he accepts her invitation.
In September 2005, they meet up for the first time in Simone's rehearsal studio, the affectionately titled "Temple". Luisa is really nervous, as she's not used to singing in front of other people, but she manages to sing a short song. Simone is impressed with her warm, soothing voice. They look at each other and know that this is the beginning of Wandering Star.
Since then they have created their own original songs, entirely sung in English. Most of the songs were created in very little time and totally instinctively.
They have recently recorded their first professional Demo CD, entitled "Travelling", at Greensound Studios in Busto Arsizio, with the collaboration of Maddalena Prevosti (cello) and Ruben Bosetti (drums).
Wandering Star hope to bring colour, poetry, light and love to whoever wishes to listen to their music.

Great Folk Pop Album
Good songwriting and sinning but 3 or 4 of the songs sound like they are olny there to fill the record ....

Sung with feeling
author: Martin Richardson
You must listen to (or read) the words to these songs, and then sense the real feeling that they are sung with. Luisa and Simone make a superb partnership and the synergy between them is obvious.
Great album.
