Album Notes

ALBUM INFORMATION:

'Love, Lust, and Longing' is the story of a young woman who is fed up with the immature game-playing of her generation’s male population. Just when she has decided to write them off completely, a real man enters her life and she is all but blind-sided by immediate, mutual love and attraction. Their other-worldly romance reveals a universe in which anything is possible, including marriage and the concept of having a soul-mate. Still, he remains haunted by a past of fast-living and low-achieving. In an effort to make something more of himself and provide a foundation for their future family, he joins the military and must temporarily leave her behind. She is left to wonder if a happy ending is still in store for their real-life fairytale…or if theirs will be yet another woeful tale of what could have been.

'Love, Lust, and Longing' is Part I of a series of concept albums and albumettes. At least one “story” will be released per year, always on Valentine’s Day. Although February 14th has been turned into a commercial holiday of candy hearts and pink teddy bears, it is still a day for lovers, as well as for people who wish they were in love. These albums are dedicated to them.

The most popular songs among fans are ‘Feel Alive Go Numb’ and ‘Slow Down’, but all of the tracks on this album are radio-friendly and devoid of expletives.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Britt Warner and Luke Costa, both from Southern California, met in the small state of Vermont in the small town of Lyndonville in a small restaurant, where she was a waitress and he was a cook. It was love at first sight, and they soon discovered that they were musical soul-mates. Together, Warner and Costa returned to their home state to make music and love in the sun, marrying in the summer of 2007.

True to the semi-autobiographical nature of ‘Love, Lust, and Longing’, Costa enlisted in the army in October of 2008 and will serve for the next three years, fitting in music during his off-hours. Due to this sometime-conflict, Warner also collaborates with a slew of producers throughout the U.S., including the dynamic Scobra in Hollywood. Her goal, with Costa, Scobra, et al, is to license her songs out to be used in film and television soundtracks, as well as inspire people from all walks of life to feel human again amid living in a sometimes desensitizing culture overrun by technology.

REVIEWS

'Love, Lust & Longing'
author: wayne white
Excellent alternative to the usual stuff heard on commercial radio stations. Britts vocals are a combination of sultry Torch Singer and Pop Diva. The lyrics not only tell a story, they convey the honesty and personal investment of the authors. The composition showcases a very tallented musician in Luke, so subtle that it is almost possible to treat the arrangement as background. Overall I think that Britt's voice, if ever given widespread exposure, could very well lauch her into the company of such modern Chanteuses' as Natalie Merchant, Christina Aguilara, and Sarah McLachlan.
