Album Notes

In the tradition of Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” and Rush’s “2112”, Warp 11 has boldly gone into the Concept Album / Rock Opera wormhole. “Borgasm” is a tale of ecstasy, despair, deception and lust. A Federation Captain on a suicide mission, a Redshirt deserter who refuses to surrender and a promiscuous Borg Queen with an appetite for assimilation collide in an interstellar orgy of hard rock brilliance.

Torn starfleet uniforms, polished rock guitars and powerful sci-fi lyrics can only mean one thing.... Warp 11, America's premiere sci-fi rock band. Founded by Captain Karl Miller in the early part of the 21st century, Warp 11 redefined the genre through hard edged original music, unmatched lyrical wit, and outrageous live shows that match anything from other so-called rock super-stars.

Today, Warp 11 is heard on over 65 radio stations coast-to-coast, in the Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner, and in the Paramount Pictures documentary "Trekkies 2". Warp 11 performs live concerts at rock clubs and convention halls across the nation.

In 2007, founding Warp 11 drummer Jeff Hewitt de-materialized. His current whereabouts are unknown, but assumed to be at an Orion slave girl reunion in the Gamma quadrant. Jeff holds the title of Honorary Chief Medical Officer but carries no known medical licenses and has exhibited no sign of medical experience outside of frequent self-medication. John "Number One" Merlino dramatically assumed drummer duties shortly thereafter, joining surviving Warp 11 founders Chief Engineer Brian Moore and Chief Science Officer Kiki Stockhammer.

In 2009, Warp 11 released their fifth studio album entitled "I Don't Want to Go to Heaven as Long as They Have Vulcans in Hell". Working with multi-platinum producer Joe Johnston, Warp 11 created their arguably best release to date, winning skeptics with a world-class sound and undeniable good time.

Borgasm is Warp 11's sixth studio album.
