Album Notes

I've been a songwriter ever since i got my first guitar at 13 and over the years i have recorded on everything from little tape decks to nowadays my daw

After a very difficult 2006 personally, I decided in 2007 to finally unleash some of my music on to more than just close family and friends and this lead to the release of my first cd "Nomany"

"Nomany" reflected my love of music in general with a wide taste in musical styles featured from the punkish "alright" to gentle acoustic ballads like "lately" to the pop / rockish hymn like"The E-minor with no name"

My new cd "Touch the Sky" continues to expand on the wide musical vision I set out on "Nomany", the 14 new all original songs again showcase my love of all styles of music, but also its a lot darker in places than "Nomany", especially on tunes like "the pledge" and "nevermind" which is a direction i'm very much liking my songwriting is going!, this culminates in my song for John Lennon "Brother John" where i pay my respects to the person who has had the greatest influence upon my musical life, but as ever I will always find space for the lighter moments in life and "Napoli" and "urs2nite" balance out the darkness nicely i hope!.

If the album has a general theme i guess it would be my statement about relationships and friendships, both of which cause me endless entertainment and frustrations but such is life!!!.

Anyway to end, I hope you enjoy the music of "Touch the Sky", and please feel free to let me know what you think of it! :)

Regards Warren Jenks
