While Wayne Burton hails from Alberta, Canada he is no stranger to the LDS music scene. His first two albums “Closer to Heaven” and “The Quest” feature 3 songs recognized internationally in the churchwide Music Submission and New Era contests. As a singer and songwriter he has also had a number of other guest artists join him on his albums including Katherine Nelson, Jericho Road’s Justin Smith, and Jen Handy.
Wayne has performed for numerous crowds across the US and Canada. While his stage performances have included short solo concert as part of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, his favorite setting is sharing his songs in firesides and other reverent gatherings. His musical production “The Quest” has been performed by individual church groups in various parts of North America and his songs have been performed as far away as New Zealand.
