The Wayne Hubbard Band

"Songwriter Driven, Country Roots Rock"

The Wayne Hubbard Band is one of the fastest growing Texas Country music acts in the state. Formed by Wayne Hubbard (Lead Vocal, Acoustic Guitar) and Kris Pierce (Bass, Harmony Vocals) in the summer of 2005, they began playing local venues. In fall of 2006, Mike Dumoit (Drums) became a permanent member along with Eric Smith (Lead Guitar) who joined in February of 2006. On occasion, Cody Kouba (Lead Guitar) of Crosby, TX sits in on sessions. Once all the band members had fallen into place, they then pursued their growing interest in Texas Country songwriting and were approached by several Houston venues such as Cypress Saloon, Armadillo Palace, and Firehouse Saloon to play.

On April 13, 2007 The Wayne Hubbard Band released its first self-titled CD with Bulldog Studios. Of the many shows performed, The Wayne Hubbard Band has opened for Texas Country music acts like Roger Creager, Randy Rogers Band, Billy Joe Shaver, Jason Boland, Wade Bowen, and Stoney Larue.

The band continues to remain true to their Texas roots by infusing their high-energy music with the melodic sounds of heroes like Waylon Jennings, Guy Clark, Billy Joe Shaver, Chris Knight, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The band’s motto "Songwriter Driven, Country Roots Rock" helps to prove that their lyrics and music will be around for those to enjoy for years to come.
