Album Notes

A late-blooming flower in an icy hothouse, a non-practicing lapsed atheist and former flavor-of the-month spinning in academic circles, Wayne Monges continues to pursue the leaky pipedream high atop Mount Squalor in the republic of Berkeleystan, despite the best advice of friends and family. "How did he get so far out there?" they frequently ask, indulging in the futility of the rhetorical question. All of his best friends burn on the way down, he claims. He feels pain most days, though he can rarely say for sure if the pain is his or someone else's.

Some early comments:

"Your stuff is out there, but it's diverse and entertaining."

"You definitely should not be singing."

"I like the sax player."

"You played the harmonica?"

"Funny how the back of your head identifies you."

"Your stuff seems real and it amused me."

"I didn't know you had a mandolin."
