Wayne Parham grew up on the tough streets of Newark, NJ. The son of an R&B singer
and a registered nurse, Wayne started early as a performer. Known affectionately as, ‘Bubbie’ Wayne began street performing at the age of 5.

A multi-talented athlete and multifaceted artist, Wayne began to focus solely on music at the age of 25. Wayne has drawn vocal comparisons to such inner city R&B icons as The Whispers’ Walter and Scotty Scott and the late great Phillipe Wynn of the Spinners.

Over the years Wayne has honed his soulful singing voice with various vocal groups including The Escorts, The Fiestas, and various other acts. Wayne has also been consistent in his ability to entertain audiences from New York and the tri-state area, to Canada and beyond. He has electrified audiences in venues such as New Jersey PAC, the Apollo Theater, the Benedeum Theater in Pittsburg PA, and the Brass Monkey in Montreal Canada.

Influenced by the legendary Ben Vereen, as well as close friends and mentors Walter and Wallace Scott of the Whispers and Ted “The Wizard” Mills of Blue Magic fame, Wayne now stands ready to unveil his stunning stage presence to the world as a solo artist and live performer.

Wayne is the personification of perseverance and true dedication. He stands as a pillar of loyalty to his audience and to his craft. With the compilation I’ll Take You There Wayne has succeeded in assembling a collection of music that showcases his smooth mesmerizing vocals, romantic lyrics and radio ready sound.

As the old saying goes, “Cream always rises to the top,” and Wayne Parham is definitely on his way to the top.
