notes
New Sounds from this Old House is an eclectic compilation by faculty and friends of the West Bank School of Music. These dedicated artists donated their talents to benefit the West Bank School of Music.
The strains of inspired folk, jazz, bluegrass, blues, Latin, and classical music have resonated through the halls of The West Bank School of Music for over 32 years. Thousands of students of all ages have come through the door of the "old house" on 6th and Cedar since the school opened in the 1970's. Nationally-known Minneapolis musicians like Butch Thompson, Ed Berger, Bill Hinkley, Karen Mueller and Paul Renz have taught and performed here. But now it's time for an upgrade.
Proceeds from the purchase of this CD will be used to improve our facilities and programs, purchase new equipment for our classrooms, upgrade our operations and technical capabilities, expand and train our staff, and fund scholarships for deserving students with demonstrated financial need.
Thank you for your interest in the West Bank School of Music!
