ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Extorian was formed by Heike and Olaf early 2006 in Munich, started to record their song ideas on a home pc and put it on their website for fishing musicians. The bass player Wolfgang, the rhyrhm guitar player Ray as well as drummer Wolfram who played the first CD "Unveiled" in spring 2007 left the band due to private reasons.

Hard can be slow, evil can be melodic, less gets infinitely more if you just let it happen where it has to happen.

Extorian doesn't just celebrate pure doom, but uses its traditional elements such as sublime slowness and lava-like thick walls of guitar, which creates a unique experience in metal when combined with vocalist Heikes' flesh-creeping melodies and compact arrangements. Extorian will appeal to many metal- and rock-fans outside the narrow doom-genre, if they have the attention span to appreciate the eight minute mini-epics which Extorian unleashes upon the listener.

"timeless beautiful and emotional songs"
Extorian from Munich are a relatively new band that came together at the beginning of 2006. However, youngsters are definitively not within the quintet. Without exception there are old hands which have many years of experience as musicians. And this you can hear in the
five tracks. The teamwork appears very harmonic, and none of the musicians thrusts himself forward, their interests lie entirely with the songs. And all of them are to be put into the category "classic doom with lots of heart's blood". Melancholic instrumental passages and the vocals from front
lady Heike Funke, which are wandering between powerful and suffering, unite to timeless beautiful and emotional songs.
