Album Notes

Claire Avenue is the second album by William Downing & The Dirty Street Singers.

Once again, the fabulous Chris Baron (Formerly Evelate, currently Huge Sally) and the legendary Mike Coykendall (Formerly, Old Joe Clarks, currently plays with M Ward, Fernando, and other stand out Oregon artists)have crafted a magical album with Mercedes Texas unfortunate son William Downing.

We recorded this album over four grueling days, then begged our friends to give it a listen and help us with song order before handing the work off to Paul Gude (Giraffe & Elephant Are Friends and SuperRocketMonkey) to create cover art.

With Mike Coykendall aboard as a producer, there is no way this project could go bad, unless you don't listen! We have done well with Outside The Mission, and are counting on you all to lend us your ears once again. We'll give them back, we promise. This new work would not have happened without all of your patronage.

This is a great album. William is obiviously very talented singer/song writer that will soon break into the professional music scene. The band is great and I expect to see them and William on late night TV very soon.
