Album Notes

we are invisible is a three-piece, female fronted original rock band from San Francisco. Described as "heavy smart-rockers", the sound mixes 70's progressive, 80's punk and 90's rock. Members have played in other groups such as The Millionheirs, Milktooth, and Spastic (San Francisco), Huckleberry (Chicago), and culm (Germany). The trio recorded their January 2005 self-titled release at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco, with Aaron Prellwitz (Sun Kil Moon, Bratmobile, Hello) and Producer Ward Evans (The Swamis, Recliner, Poison Pen Records). The result is a tight, driving, nine-song EP -- not bad for the band's first time together in the studio.

One of the most unique powerful qualities of we are invisible is their ever-changing, almost schizophrenic style. From the opening punk rock strains of "Ski Baghdad" and "Attack Squirrel" the band takes a sharp turn to the more progressive and patient "Cobra Ending" and "You are Speaking Loudly", and turns once again to close with aggressive and straightforward rock of "Dan Tanna" and "El Camino". For we are invisible, it is merely a result of their diverse influences from Underoath, Clutch, Mars Volta and Sparta to Heart and Concrete Blonde. And that's not such a bad thing.
