Album Notes

The union of parts culminate into simple stories and messages about love and war with the melodic voices of the instruments adding the indefinable words and unspeakable enunciation. They possess a sound that is unique yet very accessible.

With the common interest to remind people that music is more about music than it is an image or three chords, We Are Radio are duty driven to cleanse the common airwaves of crap rock and fads, and return it rightfully to the musicians of the world; to hoist the bar of creativity above the heads of teenage pop bands everywhere. We Are Radio pursue this undertaking with a consummate dedication to the music, attempting to influence listeners to believe in the art again. Quelling this ambition may be even more difficult than realizing it. And for those of us who know We Are Radio, can already hear them paving a sweet, sweet sounding road.

We Are Radio recently recorded Alone Another Year at Pachyderm Studios. It was mastered by Tommy Tucker, Jr. at Mastermix. They are currently working on tracks at Pachyderm.

I just got my advance copy of "Alone For Another Year". I played it for a few friends. They dug the hell out of it. So much so that they even went to the effort to ask who it was on the c/d. If you know the folks I hang around, that is no small attempt. The dics actually grabbed their attention and pushed them to query. wow. I thought it was good, but I am not always right about these kinds of things (I am always right about what "I" think is good, but not always about what "other" people will think is good.). So. Anyway. The disc, sounds, amazing. Recorded at Pachyderm and mastered at Mastermix, but the songs are solid too. The overall feel of the album has an odd "Disintegration" era Cure feel to it. It`s not so much in the style of the songs, but more in the content of the songs. It`s like you are listening to another mans heart break pouring out of your speakers. It`s in that kind of way that it sounds like "Disintegration". In Your Face I See songs. It`s a very fine album. Go buy it. -Chad How can you call this place free?
