A native of Hollister, California, Leanne began her music study at the age of 9, learning both flute and piano. After hearing her sing for several years at family gatherings, relatives and friends encouraged her to try out for the annual high school musical at the age of 14. She scored a lead part in that show, and then a lead part in every show for the next three years. This started a love for singing and entertaining which would last longer than any of her family and friends could have imagined.
After graduation, Leanne found jobs singing and playing flute for weddings and played small parts for semi-professional stage companys all over the bay area. After attending Gavilan Jr. College, she attended San Jose State University, majoring in Vocal Performance (and studying piano on the side). In 1998, Leanne began singing the anthems for the San Jose Sharks hockey team as well as other professional sporting events around San Jose, California.
Known today for her colorful, expressive voice and engaging stage presence, Leanne now performs solo for concerts, clubs, and churches around the bay area. A member of the West Coast Song Writers Association (WCSW), Leanne has written many songs which she continues to perform along with new arrangements of popular jazz standards.
Leanne also has a career teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade students music at a public middle school in Mountain View, California.

TOP NOTCH

I kept listening for a flaw but can't say I found any. I think this lady has a great future ahead of her. I was impressed with the title song she wrote and can say I truly enjoyed the whole CD. I'm sure we will be hearing more of her in the near future. Ron Chambers

Great voice and style

I found out about this incredable singer from a friend on another site called "scooby". I plan on buying Leanne's music and want to thanks scooby for turning me on to her. She has a great voice and a style all her own when it's hard to be individual these days.

The CD is not what I thought it would sound like. Honestly I thought it would be a little cheesy. But I was obviously proven wrong. It sounds so rad! I'm so buying the CD!

I loved the way Leanne's music made my house feel when I put the CD on Saturday morning after receiving it. This is music and sound with life and history and expressing the joy of being alive and being able to sing. Arrangements are fresh and true to the roots of the music and provide a solid foundation for Leanne's wonderful voice. Well done!
