Niobe Weaver singer/sound healer and Gilbert Yslas guitarist/producer bring their unique gifts together to offer a spiritual experience, that is like walking in a musical garden. They have been partnered in performing and recording for over 6 years and recently opened for authors Alan Cohen and Deepak Chopra. Niobe and Gil are a powerful new sound to the new thought music movement. Their Spirit inspired “in the moment” music of shamanic guitar, crystal singing bowls and healing vocals, lifts an audience into creative movement or deep into meditation and contemplation. The melding of rock, blues, meditative, and new age groove, only touches the surface of their sound. As spiritual troubadours, musical healers and artists, Niobe and Gil channel the energy of Spirit in profound ways. An experience of their gifts is to awaken to one's own heart

The inspiration for this CD has come from the mental, physical and spiritual planes of awareness. The spark of this project, the "mental" came from one of Niobe's clients who for some time has been waiting for a CD of Niobe's healing vocals and language melded with the magic of Gil's guitar. The "physical" is the gift of being able to create this sound experience with our hands, and our voices in our studio MagicRock. The "Spiritual" is going into that timeless space where the music of the spheres awaits to sing universal melodies. Each chakra was an intuitive journey of heart and mind into that timeless space. Listening and following what we heard was to "Be" that musical expression of each chakra, we co-created "Sacred Power a Journey Through the Chakras".

The intent of this CD is to take one on a musical and sounding journey through the chakras. Each Sound practice starts with an affirmation which flows into music that has been composed in the appropriate key center for each chakra and accompanied with the sacred vowels sounds corresponding with each chakra. We invite you to sound with the vocalizing of the sacred vowel sounds, or allow all of the sounds to bathe your being.

I really enjoyed what I heard, your voice was just right and did not interfere with the music and Gilberts guitar playing was awesome, there were moments that I heard a few riffs from Jerry's guitar, impressive.
The mood was set for each track for each Chakra and in very smooth transition and it flowed nicely to each track, I also felt each track was very distinct from the other, not always the case with this type of music.There are so many cd's of our types of music and I have heard many and many have sent me running the other way, yours I will listen to again and even before bed to send us off for the night.

My mother just went through a divorce just one month shy of my parents 30th anniversary. Upon borrowing my car she discovered Niobe and Gil's CD. She told me "I'll give you back your car, but I'm going to have to keep the CD." She listens to it every night, and has told me it empowers her through this testing time in her life. Susan and I felt it to be extremely relaxing on Sunday in the shop. I had it on again when I worked Monday afternoon and felt the same feeling of relaxation and centered-ness. It seems to get you within, like your inner core gets in balance. Hearing Niobe's voice which is very meditative, I think if I were listening with my headphones I would feel even more of this total relaxation!
