Announcing......LisaBeth's new recording.....THE ALMOST LIVE SESSIONS.
Over the last couple of years, LisaBeth was visited by some kind of muse that has caused her to re-route her writing to a more traditional style. She's real excited about this, and the new CD also reflects a time when things were created in a simpler manner.
Along with the beautiful harmonies of
MAGGIE MARSHALL and ANTJE DUVEKOT, the CD was recorded with everyone
performing at the same time, on one track, with mostly one or 2 takes
An established presence, LisaBeth has played such venues as the Bluebird Café, such festivals as the Philadelphia Folk Festival, and Falcon Ridge (showcase), such radio stations as WXPN and WHYY in Philadelphia, such states as Alaska and has opened shows for over 40 such wonderful national acts. Here are some of them: Marty Sexton, Susan Werner, John Gorka, Loudon Wainwright III, Patty Larkin, David Wilcox, Vance Gilbert, Christine Lavin, Tom Paxton, Todd Snider, Dave Carter & Tracy Grammar, Tom Rush, Fred Eaglesmith, & more.
There is other writing excitement going on in LisaBeth's world. She has recently had an article published in Performing Songwriter magazine. Her favorite periodical, LisaBeth's article in the Jan/Feb 2003 issue is about the renowned engineer David Hewitt, his approach to live recording, and his company, Remote Recording Services (www.remoterecording.com).
Despite all of the above, LisaBeth might argue that the biggest coup of her career (so far) was having not one, but TWO of her songs played on CARTALK, the nationally syndicated show on National Public Radio featuring Click and Clack, those brothers extraordinaire.
And if that isn't enough, LisaBeth is also a visual artist. Her work covers a vast arena and then some. Artistically, she is most noted for her line of socially conscious pins (they never drink and drive) including pins to help fight cancer, and another to preserve open space. Some of her clients have included the National Breast Cancer Coalition, Natural Lands Trust, Greenpeace, and more. She also designs CD jackets, including the artwork for her own projects. In addition, LisaBeth has entered the world of font licensing. A noted lettering artist, LisaBeth designed a font for the INTERNATIONAL TYPEFACE CORPORATION. It is called ITC "weber hand", and is available on their website, www.itcfonts.com

Powerful yet gentle folk delight
author: Beth Sage Weber
Lisa's second release is a great compliment to her exciting first release. Gifted musicianship and songwriting skills, warm and memorable harmonies, and lyrics that range from sensitive and lyrical....witty and clever...to bluntly honest. Almost Live definitely has the sound LisaBeth strived for--a downhome, front-porch, laid back jam (I can almost hear crickets singing in the background!) but not at the expense of forsaking production. This will definitely appeal to those who love female singer/songwriters of a true folksy, almost bluegrass genre. I might also mention that every song on this release is a beautiful gem; no clunky filler songs surrounding two or three good ones!

Thank You LisaBeth!

LisaBeth has become family. Her songs reflect her sensitivity, warmth and great sense of humor. She honored us by singing "After all this time" when we celebrated our mom's passing to heaven. You will love this CD!
