The CD you are looking at is the sophomore release, Music: Soul of the Man, from Seattle emcee, Wizdom. Following a solid debut album in 2007, The Book of Wizdom, this release promises to impress with solid improvement due to optimal focus, vigorous dedication and hard work. Teamed up with Maryland producer, Epidemmik, for every song on this album, the duo provide a unique and enjoyable sound. This album examines the personal feelings of music and how it relates to these musicians. Topics vary from internet artists, white rappers, the traps of mainstream and independent music, and many others. The production, heavily influenced by jazz and 70’s funk and R&B, flows flawlessly through this 40 minute disc.
The album features a solid variety of artists such as Seattle Seahawk wide receiver, Nate Burleson (New Balance), Octane of Subterraneous Records, popular Seattle acts, Cancer Rising, Grynch and more.
The music has been played on Seattle’s top radio stations: KUBE 93, X104.5, and KEXP 90.3. In addition, the CD has been written up in The Seattle Times, The Stranger, Seattle Weekly and Seattlest. The official release date/party is Friday, July 11, 2008 at the Nectar Lounge in Seattle, Washington.
