Lost In The Air (Live Sessions) is the first acoustic guitar release from Carl Weingarten since Redwood Melodies. 7 of the 10 instrumentals were recorded live, either at Mendocino’s famous Old School Studios, in concert at The Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, or for broadcast nationally on the Echoes Living Room Concert series.
A mix of old and new compositions, the intimate sound of Lost In The Air features Carl’s slide work on dobro, ebow and traveler guitar. Bassist Michael Manring performs on several songs including, “Hey Leo”, “1973”, “Western Overnight” and “Hand In The Sand”. Guests Joe Venegoni and Barry Cleveland perform on “Cambodian Waltz”.
