Snapshot of a budding jazz violinist
author: Hoosier Pete
A fascinating though flawed bluegrass curio from an ambitious young prodigy who has since migrated to Svend/Stuff/Frigo-styled violin jazz. Many tracks feature Weinstein playing in tandem with two other fiddlers, who unfortunately step all over each other. The best moments here belong to mandolinist Don Stiernberg, another bluegrass vet now acclaimed in jazz circles.

Aaron Needs to Stay Young!
author: John
I gave my copy of Aaron's CD to my dad. My dad was referred to as Yehudi in the Kelly H.S. orchestra in the 1940's. He played in several bands in and around the Chicago area up until 1959. He will not give me the CD back and has not made a negative comment about Aaron's technical execution and feeling of the music, my dad used to play. This is very rare. Aaron is superb in my opinion and by default, my dad's! I am going to buy another copy. Question for Aaron: We have not seen you play in person. How far out does the elbow extend on the arm you use for the bow? This is a tongue in cheek question...just curious because we have not seen you perform.
