In the CD liner notes Deborah writes... "Being someone who is interested in diverse styles of music, the Trio has given me an opportunity to express my love of standards, and the clarity and space one finds as part of playing in a trio. There is a club called The Garage, located in Greenwich Village, NYC, where I performed semi-regularly for a few years with guitarist Sheryl Bailey and bassist Nicki Parrott. Some of the music on this CD is from the "Garage" years. The rest is new music that I wrote specifically for this session."

One late evening I walked as usual thru internet and listened to the various nice jazz-cd's with the most world famous trombone players and so I heard The TRIO. Being a trombone player myself I was moved by the beautiful sound of Deborah Weisz. She blows her trombone with love and feeling. What a sound, I envy her. With the great guitar and the beautiful bass this TRIO is a topper. In my home in The Hague and driving in my car thru Holland it is during the last weeks: The TRIO. Thanks, Piet van Dijk.
