After spending four years mining for pop nuggets with acoustic duo Welmore Mile, Peter Welle has emerged as a solo artist. In celebration, Peter has grown a formidable beard and intends to become the Rasputin of the Minneapolis folk-pop scene.
With a beat-up duffel bag of acoustic tunes both resonant and immediate, Peter set out to make THE SILENT ERA, his solo debut, an album that above all else sounded real. Nothing Pro-Tooled about it. The sound of 3 or 4 friends and musicians huddled around a small studio together, layering guitar lines and tight harmonies - music both spontaneous and intimate.
