Album Notes

Wolfgang Ellenberger has studied piano, music therapy and medicine in Hamburg/Germany.
See his resume at http://www.ellenberger.name/EN/ENlebenslauf.htm .

In this CD you find his early recordings as the live capturing of his piano diploma exam 1977.
Later during his 3 year period in Milano/Italy he recorded in the studio where also Luciano Pavarotti had recorded.

After finishing all degrees he worked as a free lance concert pianist running an event service and being the only person having a Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand piano (290 cm, 630 kg) with a PianoDisc player system as his hand luggage with him, using a unique caterpillar to get it even up the stairs all alone.
See http://ccc.docwebs.com/EN/ENveranstaltungsservice.htm

Taking use of his studies he developped a pedagogic concept called "The Relativity Formula of Piano Playing" in which he finds an innovative approach of programming the muscles with a multi-sensorial learning program and splitting the three-dimensional vector of the pianists movement into three partial levels with a so-called movement-atom. With these atoms Ellenberger says he can solve any technical problem.

Further than that Ellenberger has the vision of a Piano Research Faculty at a music academy anywhere in the world -focussing on maximising the output of pianists similarly as in "olympic training centers" for sports people. Just besides this might cover some aspects of the new combination subject "music medicine" treating the diseases of musicians stressing certain parts of their bodies depending on the instrument.

He is founder of the www.DoctorsTalents.com association presenting docs (MDs, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists) on a world-wide level with their extra-medical professions and hobbies. This web portal creates millions of clicks yearly and the vision of a MultiMedi(c)alMeetingpoint is coming closer.

Now enjoy Ellenbergers interpretation which is known as deeply relaxing (like a session of music therapy) on the basis of his profound piano technique based on the tradition from Franzt Liszt>>Krause, >>Edwin Fischer>>Conrad Hansen with whom Ellenberger studied and made his "concert exam".
