Dickie Nyquist Explodes for the Jimmy Fund!
About this album:
Dickie Nyquist Explodes was inspired by Savanna James. All proceeds generated from the sale of this album will be donated to The Jimmy Fund to support Ewing’s Sarcoma research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In June 2005, when Savanna was only 4 ½ years old, she was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a type of cancer, in her skull. The tumor and a large piece of her skull were removed. For safety reasons, Savanna had to wear a helmet to protect her skull until she completed her treatments. Savanna completed 14 rounds of chemotherapy and 5 weeks of radiation on her skull. She completed all of her treatment in April 2006. In July 2006, Savanna had surgery to implant a prosthetic in her head where her skull once was. Due to the amount of radiation Savanna received, hair will never grow in the area that was treated.
Savanna is now helmet and cancer-free! She will continue to receive a brain MRI, chest X-ray and blood work every 3 months. Once Savanna is cancer-free for five years, she is considered to be in remission.
Savanna, now 8 years old, continues to thrive. Savanna will began second grade this fall and enjoys swimming, dancing, and playing with her friends. Her family and friends are proud and amazed by everything she has accomplished.

About this band:
The We Love 2 Rumble Band (formerly Dickie Nyquist) was formed on a dare by Hairspray drummer Ryan 'chickenhawk' Cahill in Rochester, NY in 1994. The band continues to grind out the hits after nearly 15 years, and critics are calling their latest album, Dickie Nyquist Explodes, “Highly suspicious” because of its musical relevance despite being the band’s first studio release in over 10 years. The group blends classic rock, rhythm and blues, hard rock, jazz and funk influences to deliver memorable songs washed in social commentary. Many of their tunes feature groovy guitar and slinky bass lines layered with provocative horns, melodious keys, and tasty vocal tracks backed by precise percussion work. After one listen, it’s apparent the chemistry of this group continues to improve with time.
