Album Notes

In the summer of 1974, two young men set their sights on fame and fortune and moved from New Orleans to Los Angeles to pursue their musical dreams. After settling in Santa Monica, they recruited three string players from University of Southern California to help them define their sound. The sound evolved into a hybrid of European pop, classical, and rock music that had little chance in the era of disco music. Still they persisted and got their fair share of interest and encouragement from many in the music industry, though they never landed a recording contract. After years of starts and stops and ups and downs, the pursuit ended. This group of songs represents the highlights from all the demo tapes that remain.

This album is amazing. WNT totally created a new genre of music with this CD and it's called Classical Rock. The string arrangements on each song give it that perfect "Electric Light Orchestra" sound. This album is more like a piece of artwork. Listen to "Hollywood Blvd" and you'll understand what I'm saying.

This is a great album! The song that I liked the most was "Stars In Manhattan". Several of the songs do remind me of Beatles music, especially Clumsy Grace. "Clumsy Grace" reminded me when I saw "Love" in Vegas! "Hollywood Boulevard" was exceptional with all the strings involved, it is so intense and that is where the Electric Light Orchestra comes in, FANTASTIC ! "You're Not Listening" is another wonderful song that can really hit home sometimes when your not really listening. "Take A Chance" was also very upbeat because it is something we all need to do sometimes. "Suddenly It's You" is a very romantic song that is also one of my favoraites. "Take A Bow" is so much like The Beatles that I really enjoyed it. The album overall gets a 5 star rating and I am ordering at least 10 for Christmas presents to my family and friends who also enjoy this style of music. I hope they don't run out before Christmas!

This CD is AWESOME! I love the tunes! A little bit of everything.....Up-beat, slow, fun, serious... If you like the Bee Gees or The Beatles you'll LOVE these guys. 70's pop rock at it's best. A great CD to jam out to in the car, while cleaning the house, BBQ's....anywhere! Take a Chance is my favorite!
