Wendy McNeill lives up to her 'Folk Noir" roots on her newest C.D
The 11 songs on her latest cd, " A Dreamer's Guide to Hardcore Living", weave a tightrope between the intimate and the otherworldly, featuring Wendy on looped vocals, accordion, and guitar.
Splashes of magical realism colour her songscapes and a host of new characters are introduced. A shape shifting coyote, a city that sings and sheds tears, a romantic snake and a restless rabbit, all assist in exploring themes of temptation, isolation, hope, faith, love, and various crimes of passion.
