Wensday - Waiting On a Miracle - Single
A sultry and sweet chanteuse one minute, a bold and edgy diva the next, Wensday is an exotic young woman of contrasts: she's been a body piercer, a jazz singer and Associate Director of All Children's Theater in her hometown of Providence, Rhode Island. A graduate of NYU, and a student at Oxford University, this tattooed vixen charms and disarms with her stunning vocals, soulful delivery and earthy, quick wit.
Wensday developed an early and intense love of jazz, particularly the music of Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday, first heard on her parents' extensive record collection, and with her first voice teacher at age 13. One day, she happened into a vintage store in Massachusetts, saw a gorgeous 1940s cocktail dress, thought about Billie Holiday and knew she had to make singing her life.
"I was very happy with my life in Providence," she says. "I loved the balance of working with children during the day and singing in nightclubs at night. I was about to cut a jazz album when everything happened with Desert Dreams Records. It's never been about fame and money for me because those only follow when you do what you love. Connecting emotionally with people is the most important thing to me. That's what this great journey is all about.”
""Oh, and of course, I bought the dress!"
Wensday’s uplifting and soulful dance anthem, “Waitin’ On a Miracle,” was written by Dick Wagner (Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Aerosmith, Kiss) with Wensday.

- Jamie J Sanchez – Billboard Reporter - DJ-Producer-Remixer, San Francisco, jamiejsanchez.com
“I think the track is great. I can totally hear several directions it can go very successfully. One obviously in the big room anthem circuit direction, but also in a down and dirty electro direction when the vocals are a bit more sampled. The SpekrFreks would kill this track doing a hardcore electro mix. I'd love to do a swung pop electro mix to it myself. I totally hear the similarities to Erin Hamilton and I easily think with some promotion dollars behind it, this can easily be a club and radio dance hit. With the right set of mixes, It's got pop, club and alternative dance hit potential.”
—Matt Consola DJ/Producer / Remixer swishcraftmusic.com
“I'm loving this mix… It's got lots of radio and airplay written on it ... “I played the track around 8.30pm. Peak crowd. Already had them with their hands in the air. For a sing that they had never heard before, it got a great reaction.
