The new record has been met with positive reviews and is currently in rotation at KEXP Seattle. Don Yates, KEXP music director says, “This Seattle band’s 2nd album is a fine set of adventurous, intricately textured indie-pop reminiscent at times of Pinback and The Sea and Cake.”

Over the last decade, Wesafari has evolved from Rick Wright’s solo Boston bedroom recordings to a fully fledged Seattle-based band. Their unique sound, which blends accessible pop with experimental and eclectic arrangements, has been heard on radio and in mid-size venues throughout the Northwest. Their first album, Alaska (2005) rated 165 in the CMJ Radio 200.

Wesafari’s dynamic live sets feature colorful vocal harmonies and distinctive instrumentation including guitars, drums, synths, and world instruments. Their creative, integrated performances set them apart from the average rock show.

The current lineup of multi-instrumentalists and singers includes Rick Wright, Baine Craft, Trina Mills, and Casey Alexander.
