'Western Lights' is a dynamic band from Sacramento CA. that have been together for 10 plus years. Their music has strong roots in traditional bluegrass and bluegrass gospel. Also evident from the songs featured in "Favorites of Ours" is the band's love of Western Swing and other related music styles, influenced by such greats as Bob Wills and Hank Williams Sr. 'Western Lights' features 'sweet' three and four part harmony vocals with solid lead instrumentation from the Banjo, Fiddle, Mandolin, and Guitar!

'Western Lights released "Favorites of Ours" in January of 2000. The release was VERY well recieved and clearly demonstrates a wonderful diversity in their special brand and style of music... Listen to "Faded Love" and "Bury me Beneath the Willow" for some 'unique features' of the bands use of twin fiddles and the beautiful sound of the hammered ducimer on select songs.
