Album Notes

West of Eden is a Swedish band that for a decade has thrilled audiences with their unique blend of Celtic traditional music and contemporary folkrock.

The highest of songwriting standards combined with the extraordinary voice of singer Jenny Schaub has earned them a solid reputation amongst critics around the globe.
Their latest release “Four” was no exception to the rule. Irish Music Magazine wrote “West of Eden brings us the best of contemporary folk in a Celtic idiom” while Folk & Roots described it as ”Innovative, imaginative, lyrical, melodic, and inspirational”

West of Eden has toured Ireland, Benelux and Scandinavia. The band has played at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, Scotland, and will next year perform a multimedia concert with songs from their fantastic new album “The West of Eden Travelogue” together with members of the Swedish National Orchestra at the Concert Hall in Gothenburg.

Other collaborations throughout the years have featured Scandinavian Strings, Irish singer/songwriter Marian Bradfield and John McGlynn & Róisín Dempsey from Anúna who has performed with West of Eden at their sold out “Celtic Christmas” concerts 2007 & 2008.

A concert with West of Eden is a journey between intimate acoustic storytelling and catchy folkrock, always performed with love and respect for the Celtic tradition.
