Album Notes

After a year of touring and grass-roots fan-building, We The Living is launching into 2008 with a new incarnation of their debut LP "Heights of the Heavens."

The new packaging is just one indication of the band's desire to evolve and be more than just an ordinary rock outfit. They will further back that sentiment when they introduce Philo, the idea that everyone needs to have an individual philosophy, coming Spring '08. In addition to playing their literarily and philosophically inspired music, We The Living is going to start sharing what makes them individuals via blogs and vlogs, and encourages others to do the same.

The band is currently on a national college/club tour in further support of their debut, so don't be surprised if We The Living finds its way to you. And if it already has, share it.

An unexpected joy

This is not my genrem first of all. Then again, it had elements that I appreciate, like harmony and melody and very nice engineering/production. I listened to the first song ("Typical) five times before I could bear to leave it and listen to the next song. That doesn't happen very often to me. There are maybe an EP worth of songs that would bear 5 stars, I like it that much. I ran across them looking for bands who relate to or draw on the ideas of Ayn Rand. Not sure how much of an influence that philosophy is for the band, but I'm glad I ran across them. Best impulse buy I've ever made, based on two song previews....
