Over a hundred shows, one full-length LP, and a brand new EP dropping August 29th on the exact date of our 2 year anniversary, we've come a long way to create the unique blend of Alternative-Rock fused with Funk, Reggae, Jazz, and Hip-Hop known as WAIT FOR GREEN. Staying true to the music we are passionate to create, WFG is often compared to an original blend of Incubus, 311, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Slightly Stoopid. “WFG most definitely brings the ROCK in its huge reggae rock sound . . . A must for fans of 311.” - ThePier.org.
Growing up in different cities throughout South Florida and as far away Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the unique cultural backgrounds and variety of musical influences of each of the band members helps shape the core of Wait For Green’s music. Thanks to a few connections between mutual friends, the internet, and word of mouth, we came together as a band.
Sharing the stage with national acts such as Authority Zero, Fiction Plane, The Expendables, The Supervillians, Rehab, Passafire, Outlaw Nation, and The Parliament Funkadelic has gained the band much needed exposure. After winning the National MEISA (Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association) Battle of the Bands, finishing in the top 8 as a finalist to open Langerado through Sonicbids, receiving radio rotation play on North Florida's major rock and college stations (such as Clear Channel's X101.5), multiple headlining shows at some of the Southeast's premier music venues, and writing, recording, producing, and distributing our first LP "All In" in less than a year as band . . we've come a long way.

This album has been out for awhile and I would recommend the purchase. These dudes sent me a friends request on MySpace after I moved to da FLA and I am glad they did as I'll explain. I must say next to Nonpoint & Cold (metal/rock bands) out of Ft. Lauderdale and Jacksonville, which I have much luv and respect for that helped put their area’s of FLA on da map as other bands there have, I strongly feel though that these Tallahassee based dudes are going to become more mainstream as people learn of them. "Let's Converse" my favorite track will give you a splendid taste of slightly distorted guitar, smooth reggae upstrokes, and people... Dude can sing! Just listen to the songs chorus, but that's just one song. I like most if not all of their songs and am impressed with how well they did recording it. "Build It Up, Burn It Down" would prolly be my second on the list and it may give you somewhat of a 311 feel. "Against The Sound" prolly my 3rd, gave me a somewhat Incubus feel, and believe it or not "2204" gave me a Slightly Stoopid feel. I hate to be that guy as if I'm trying to say those songs sound like something from those bands, but as you'll see with their related to descriptions, if any of those other bands I mentioned you like, then you more than likely will like WFG. So hear this though, there are songs by those bands that I would say sound like something or reminded me of WFG. So much respect for these dudes because as you'll hear in their new EP (that is available now also by the way) they are also evolving and it will give you a taste of what's to come from these guys. I reviewed this album though because it's their first full one and because it introduces people to what WFG is about. Da Funk base lines rip with good drums, just a good chill mood with some funk stylee of an album. A good cd to listen to when grabbing your surfboard wanting to either get a lil pumped or chill while heading to da beach. Out of 5 stars I give a 4 & 1/2 only because nothing in dis world is perfect especially with music but it damn sure comes close. I’ve introduced this band to many Indiana peeps, and other Midwesterners alike and as I’ve been told the cd is growing on them quickly. For most of them, it gets to give them the feeling of being at a party out on the beach while being landlocked. Anyways this band is a talent and I think anyone would be privileged to have this album and see dem live especially! Congrats WFG because as a fellow musician myself, I understand the struggles and work it takes to make music that not only satisfies yourself, but satisfies most everyone else and the pressures that sometimes develops for wanting to please most everyone else. You guys have done an excellent job thus far! I’m out…
PEACE!

Chill Out With This Album

Are you a fan of 311, Incubus, or just looking for that sound that will make you bob your head and feel a great vibe? Here is the album to buy.
Musically, this is a funk/rock/reggae sound that is very easy on the ears. This is a good album to have on for any occasion. Each track flows very well into the next.
The production values are very good, considering that this band has been together for such a short period of time. The album sounds great. One thing that might mislead you is that the "Live" tracks were simply recorded live, that is, the band played the song as a band, as opposed to recording the vocals, then the drums, then the guitar, then the bass individually (a process called tracking). These tracks sound great as well, and if anything, live studio recordings add more feeling to a song, as you can hear the band together playing the song and feeding off each others' energy.
If any criticisms could be made of this album, it would be that each track is similar in sound. However, this can be said about most albums in history, and each album you buy should be played when you're in the mood for that album's vibe.
I gave this album five stars because of the excellent musicianship, production, and hope that the band continues to turn out great music in the future. I hope that you do yourself the favor of purchasing this album! Peace-out!
