Album Notes

Soul-stirring piano renditions of popular standards and timeless Gershwin, Porter, and Broadway classics from this seasoned Nordstrom pianist; piano music at its very finest. Bill Gregory has made his home in Richmond, Virginia, and has played piano, for most of his life. Many Richmonders know Bill from his piano playing at Nordstrom, where he has been employed since 2004. Aside from playing the ‘Standards’ from the 1920’s, ‘30’s, and ‘40’s, Mr. Gregory enjoys very much the ‘Big Band’ and Broadway sounds. In February of 2008, Bill was invited to play at an Engagement Party for the President’s daughter, Jenna Bush. Christmas of 2008 was the third time that Bill was invited to the home of the legendary Jimmy Dean (and his wife, Donna Meade) to play the piano at their annual Christmas Party. In addition, Bill was honored this past May to play at a private event in Crozier, Virginia, where he ‘opened’ for Elton John Guitarist and Grammy Winner John Jorgenson.
