ABOUT THESE REMIXES:

In 2007 Worldwide Groove Corporation released their first independent project entitled “Chillodesiac Lounge, vol. 1: FEVER” featuring classic jazz standards reconstructed into a downtempo chillout style. Having licensed several tracks to various compilations before the whole project was even released, this record benefitted from the momentum of that exposure along with widespread internet and FM radio airplay in the United States and abroad, and put Worldwide Groove Corporation on the map as an emerging artist in the downtempo music scene. In 2008, Worldwide Groove Corporation put out an open invitation to their DJ friends on MySpace to create a remix of “You Still Give Me Butterflies”, one of the original songs off of their record. Of the remixes submitted, the best would be chosen for an official remix release. DJs from around the world responded to the offer, and signed on for the opportunity. Due to the large number of responses, Worldwide Groove Corporation decided to focus on a second song as well, the internationally famous “Besame Mucho”.

Worldwide Groove Corporation were especially excited about the variety of DJs who were working on remixes, from 12 countries on 4 continents. They chose to avoid learning any more about these DJs until they’d made their final remix choices. But once the selection was complete, they were pleased to learn that the DJs who would be included on the project were spanning 37 years in age difference, with skill levels ranging from aspiring novices still in high school to seasoned professionals.
