For me, Lance Whalen's music is meant to be heard whilst driving down a country road in the dark; for those nights that draw out long and slow like a ribbon of cigarette smoke; for anyone who has ever loved or been loved. Truly beautiful music that shouldn't be missed. He is an amazing live performer, as well. A girl could fall in love.

Civil Twilight is the kind of album that you will listen to over and over again.  The songs are romantic and thoughtful.  I love listening to the album over and over, and feeling attracted to new lyrics each time.  "Rue of the Day" and "Shake Baby Shake" are my personal favorites, but I think that once you get this album you will find that each song will be playing in your head frequently.  I highly recommend that you give Civil Twilight a listen!
