Album Notes

People ask "what genre of music are you?" all we can say is we uphold peace, we're earthy,folky and mellow. We love thinking outside the box wouldn't mind throwing the box away and starting from scratch. Our passion is music but "real life" gets in our way often. Carrie (vocals,guitar) is a wife, mother of 5, and part-time nurse. Paula (mandoline,harmonica,guitar,artist of the cover)is a director of a girlscout headquarters amoung various volunteering in her community. Jeff (drums,percussion) is a husband,dad of two,and journeyman wireman. We all live too many miles away from eachother but we have a synergy when we get together! We mainly play at coffee-shops mainly because we like the laid back atmosphere, not to mention many coffeeshops in our area are open minded and let us express ourselves(which we have many opinions on many issues). This is one example of what someone wrote about our music after she listened to it: "Respect for individual differences, recognition of the experimental&experiencial path through life, respect&appreciation of nature, belief in the power of non-violence, practice of stillness, centering and growth through insights born of the deepest honesty that calls for laying aside ego & embracing spirit. Simple appreciation of love& life in the way it touches you." I don't think she will mind that I quoted her as she is those exact words. Putting this album together has been such a gift of release and renewal in our lives! We hope if you choose our album you will be inspired by truth and beauty of nature and life! Peace!
