Album Notes

Brewing their very own version of Americana noir as an improbable mix
between Steve Earle and Nick Drake, White Sands started as a solo
project from singer/songwriter Pascal Hallibert (Grote Prijs van
Nederland 2001 finalist, Templo Diez, Praise the Twilight Sparrow),
quickly moving to a duo format with multi-instrumentist Hans Custers
and reaching the Grote prijs van Nederland finals in late 2004. After
playing Crossing Border 2005 and several dates in Canada and the USA,
they released their debut EP 'Alma' in 2006, garnering great reviews
from the Dutch music media. With drummer Daan van Dienst completing
the core lineup, White Sands evolved towards a fuller but always
intimate sound, dedicated to their cinematic tales of long-gone hopes
and redemption set in half-dreamt desert towns and myth-laden
megalopoles. Full-length debut expected in september 2007.

This has found it's way into my heart and mind. Get it, play it, love it. Music like this is too valuable to ignore in a short human life.
