The Whitewater Blues Band has surfaced on the West Coast Blues scene as an exciting new group. Whitewater is led by Larry's soulful harp and vocals along with Lee's great guitar work. To find a blues band these days that feels... what's the word I'm after here... real? authentic? genuine? is indeed a momentous task. Blues music has become as assembly line as anything else these days and finding something recent that has the same soul of days past is nigh on impossible; this CD has that missing soul. Whilst not quite the wonder of Miles Davis, John Lee Hooker or Etta James this CD is a remarkable first compilation. Highly recommended listening. Read more...
