Whitewing is a Lake Tahoe based musical group that has been in existence for more than a decade. Laura Chappel and Jackie Dauzat formed the band with the intentions of a working casino band. This soon gave way to recording their first cd which opened up a whole new venue for the band. Dauzat's writing proved to be much better than most people expected. After singing and playing copy songs for over thirty years, his own songs come across as versatile and appealing as the songs he and Chappel performed for so long.

Dauzat started his career in Louisiana in the summer of 1969. He remembers listening to Otis Redding . Between Otis and the Beatles he had some very strong influences. Leaving Louisiana in 1972 to record for Columbia records and touring the country he settled in Tahoe and has been there ever since. Dauzat and Chappel teamed up in 1992 and were married in 1994. Their first cd entitled simply Whitewing is a wonderful mixture of influences ranging from country to alternative rock. A little something for all. But dont take our word for it..Give it a listen.
