Whitmore's second album "Solstice Rise" follows on from the success of their debut album "Smoke The Roach" one of Moon Ska's biggest selling albums, confirming their position at the top of the Uk Ska-Punk scene
Endless touring of the UK and Europe saw the band establish themselves as one of the Ska-Punk scenes top acts with no daytime radio play or even a feature in a UK national magazine!!
Nonetheless they supplied the theme tune for p-rock TV, and the Playstation and X Box computer game "Flat Out" as well as the inclusion of their Ska track "Sober Days" on the UK national Daily Sport newspaper free "Summer Ska" (million copies) giveaway CD.
This album sees the band with a more mature sound but still bedded in the Punk and Ska-Punk scenes.
Live favourites "Flicking The Bean", "Skunk No.1" and "Fighting For Today" are featured as well as the Ska-Punk tunes "Dim Blue Light" and "Don`t Care About You". The bands trademark Melodic Punk sound is well represented in "Promises" and "Harsh Realities" and the album continues on from the first album "Smoke The Roach" with dare we say it almost Emo sounding new tracks like "Bad Intentions" and Holding Out".
The CD features the live video bonus track of "Drop The Bomb" (The Toasters Ska-core mix)
