Album Notes

This band started in August of 2004, when Craig got bored playing in the band he was in. Deciding it was time for a change he ran an ad in the Austin Chronicle and found his perfect guitar slinging foil in the seven string wizardry of Bryan Cameron's lyric yet blistering solos.

Drums are provided by Brian "Twitch" Cook, a monster skins pounder with a great sense of humor and an unmatched passion for music.

The Newest Member of the Whore is Kress Lochridge. An amazing bass player an a genuinely great guy.

Together for about a three years, the WHORE has garnered huge praise from fans and promoters on the local Austin scene.

With spring just around the bend we are spreading our wings and beginning a series of road rips to bring the music to new fans.

Musical influences start with the great metal bands like Slayer and Iron Maiden and extend to neo classical purveyors like Cacophony and Racer X all the way through to the extremes of metal like Morbid Angel, Decide and Dimmu Borgir.

Lyrically we are influenced by the writings of Jello Biafra, Edward Abbey, Henry Rollins, Michael Moore and Eric Schlosser. No one creates in a vacuum and everything we have ever heard or read may subconsciously influence us in one way or another.
