Album Notes

The "Ego Reflector" Digital EP contains 5 songs that show Why Make Clocks on a brief detour breaking out of the pigeonhole of past genre descriptions.

The EP had been planned for years, but for various reasons hadn't happened-until last year when the time was right.

Intended as a way to try out new recording equipment and to do something different, Why Make Clocks recorded 3 songs added an unused older recording and a live track that was the opening song of the band's first show in 2000 to make the EP.

The physical CD is a limited edition CD-R (only 200 were made) intended to help the band recoup the cost of their 2nd full-length album, "Midwestern Film".

The "Ego Reflector Digital EP" was:

mastered by Doug Van Sloun at Studio B in Omaha, NE
recorded by Eric Kennedy at our former practice space
except "Cold Front(Live Version)" which was recorded live to ADAT by Chris Thrailkill

Why Make Clocks personell on the EP were:

DAN HUTCHISON-vocals/guitars/chord organ/toy piano/hand claps/foot stomps
WILL TARBOX-drums on tracks 1-3
ERIC KENNEDY-guitars tracks 1-3/backing vocals/hand claps/foot stomps
PHILIP STERK-Moog/Wurlitzer on tracks 1 & 2
BOONIE-bass on track 1-3
BRIAN WIKSELL-guitar on tracks 4 (intro) & 5, bass on track 4
