Singer-Songwriter & Social Worker

Sammi Whytecap is a contemporary folk singer-songwriter who combines her passion for music with 33 years as a social worker. Inspired by personal experiences as well as her counseling work, she has recorded 7 albums of original music on the Jasmine Journey Records label. Sammi released her debut album in 1982 and has continued to write, sing, and record songs that promote unity, empowerment, and hope. “Illumination,” her most recent CD, highlights 10 original songs that invite her listeners into new possibilities of support, compassion, and resiliency.

Since 1984, Sammi has been singing professionally in a wide variety of venues. Her performances have been featured at national conferences, trainings, workshops, retreats, schools, bookstores, community events, hospitals & hospices, coffeehouses, places of worship, and social service agencies. Sammi’s rich vocals, soulful lyrics, and soothing guitar create an atmosphere of comfort, connectedness, and inspiration.
