Eat Your Heart Out and Then Some
author: Blaine Gossard
For those of you waiting for those endless years between Nine Inch Nails records or still wishing the Stabbing Westword was around, this CD will erase all that time lost. After listening for the first time I found myslef thinking theres so much behind what sticks in front that I have to go back for more. With songs like SLAVE and TIE ME that just grooves from the start and SUICIDE STAR that will inject you like Minstry, this CD is one to have in your collection for your avid Industrialist. With their second release W!CK redefines what can and will be done by still taking another step forward and never looking back. Proving that the next CD should be better than your last and still holding the simpleness of what a song is all about. If I had to choose a complaint I would say that the story gets lost once in a while behind an army of sounds that basks in the glory of industrial music. It is still in my collection and will be on a mix CD or two down the road.

Solid production, great tunes

Despotism is a great followup to the Ideology EP. W!CK's songwriting and production just keep getting better and better. There are lots of cool industrial percussive sounds throughout the album, and the guitars are in your face with a fat, chunky sound at times or thin and midrangy where needed. There are cool abstract noises throughout that make it a good headphone album. On top of this, most of the songs have a catchy chorus that sticks in your head for hours. Good stuff. Fans of NIN, Rob Zombie, and Static X should be pleased.

solid industrial metal

A solid send-up of NIN/Stabbing Westward industrial metal. All the songs groove; too little of this type of music being produced today so it's refreshing that cds of this type can still be found.

These guys sure sound like nine inch nails mixed with rob zombie. I meen really, they do, its insane. Somehow the guitar sounds very familier, but somehow the familierity makes me feel more at home when i listen to them. The sudden transition in "mental screaming" is strange, but sounds very origional, its a great change from some songs currently on market. i say these guys deserve to be signed. Powerful Music backed up by powerful lyrics, and what sounds to be based on powerful names of a Very powerful genre. In other words, its a powerful album!
