Album Notes

Wicked Liz & the Bellyswirls are one of the most traveled bands in the midwest. "Hulathong" is the 3rd CD from Wicked Liz & the Bellyswirls. A high energy album with great songwriting, Wicked Liz & the Bellyswirls went to producer Tom Tatman at Catamount Studios for the project. "He was the ideal fit," Liz stated of the recording process, "he drew out the best in each of us!"
Tracks such as, "9 a.m." find Liz writing about a family's great loss, while other songs, "Break Me" for example, find the band screaming an anthem about trying to trying to get a head at all costs.
"Hulathong" captures the band's live sound like nothing they've done to date. If you've seen the band live, you're already a fan. If you haven't, do yourself a favor and pick up this CD.
You wont regret it.

REVIEWS

Rootsy, gutsy, honest music – real music for real people.

An accomplished performance from all concerned. “Up & Down” is a real storming track to get us up and running and certainly one of the highlights. With the classy, passionate and more sedate mid-tempo “9am” they show they have more than one string to their bow. They save the best for last however with “I Believe”, a real gem with its organ-driven gospel coloured sound.

Great job Liz! Having seen the band live I knew this disc would not disappoint and I was so correct. Infectious energy, great guitar work and what more can you say about Liz? This lady rocks! Great production quality and the songs flow so well. A terrific mix of something for everyone. Big names have nothing on this band, nothing. Grab a copy of Hulathong, you can't miss.

I've known for a while that this album was on its way, and I'm so glad to now own it! This is a CD you can keep in your stereo all the time & enjoy -- no matter what your mood. My friends are becoming fans, too, and will no doubt be buying their own copies. The only thing better is to see the group in person & enjoy the live experience!

This is the third offering from WLBS, and by far the best. First the writing, both music and lyrics, flow and play very well. As good as if not better than a lot of more established and well known artists. Not just a few tracks, but all of them. Then there is the exceptional production quality. First class all the way. Liz and her Bellyswirls are, with this latest product, on their way to becoming the band you can say you knew back when. Pick up a copy now, while you can. You will thank me later.
