"Flying Solo"
Trent Wideman
A multi-instrumentalist, writer, comedian, visionary, and show producer. He does it all. Trent Wideman brings you his latest release "Flying Solo." It brings you the sounds of Progressive Bluegrass, Jazz, Pop, and Country. This Cd also reflects his major influences such as Chris Thile, Tony Rice, Mark O Conner, and Sean Watkins. This young talent has written six out of the nine tunes and even brings you a new twist with the Stevie Ray Vaughn cover "Skuttle Buttin" on his mandolin. Not only is he playing the mandolin, fiddle, and guitar, but he brings you a sound yet never heard before on his hammered dulcimer. This CD truly reflects his talents and expertise as a musician/songwriter and producer.
Trent Wideman says "this album is for the pickers."
Trent Wideman- Biography
Trent was born on March 16, 1979. He is a multi-instrumentalist whose instruments include the fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bass, harmonica, drums, hammered dulcimer, and piano. Trent grew up in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri where it became evident that music would be his life.
In 1994 Trent went on to become a Missouri state fiddling champion. This later led to his first professional gig with a show called the Main Street Music Hall in 1995. In that show he learned his talents as a true musician, and comedian for the next four years.
In 1999 Trent took his comedy character and musical talents and branched off to form his own show with his family called the Country Lights USA show. There he learned his talents as a show producer as well as a comedian, musician, and band leader. His hard work paid off. In 2001, and 2002 he led the show with his wonderful cast of fourteen to be the number one show at Lake of the Ozarks.
Also in 2002 Trent took his hammered dulcimer and headed to Los Angeles where he later performed on Fox Television's 30 Second's to Fame Show.
In 2003 Trent then moved to Branson, Missouri. Since then he has shared the stage with many greats such as Leona Williams, Helen Cornelius, Mary Lou Turner, Ronnie Prophet, Moe Bandy, and Leroy Van Dyke.
Now you can see Trent nightly in Branson, Missouri at the critically acclaimed, nationally known Country Tonite Show, where he performs his talents as a comedian, and musician.
His shows are twice a day at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 P.m. at the Americana Theatre on 76 country music boulevard.

This is exactly the kind of music I love to wake too. Toe tapping, hip moving, hand slapping, mood alternating music for the soul.

Unique Style that's refreshing!
author: Tina M
This CD is refreshingly unique. It's not just beyond excellent country/bluegrass pickin, but the songs have a pop mix with a little jazz thrown in for good measure! I will definitely buy this CD as it makes my spirit feel like flying! Great title for an album since it sets the mood of the music. The artist should be proud of this one and I hope to see more of his music in the future!
