Belting out tuneful melodies through a Gibson-generated racket, singer/guitarist and thirty-something mother of two Leah Archibald paints meticulous portraits of the street life and characters of both her Rust Belt hometown and her current home of Brooklyn.

Her Buffalo is a land where lawn ornaments, failed local heroes, empty Main Streets, boozy town fairs, and beer-quaffing beat cops exist side by side amidst sprawling industrial decay. And her Brooklyn is the opposite: a place gentrifying itself out of the industrial age and populated by social climbers, stumbling bartenders with hearts of gold, and mean-spirited neighbors who complain too goddamn much.
