This is Tom's debut album. Recorded while he was still a senior in college, it has that raw, "I've got to get this out" songwriting style. Think, "really cool artist in a coffee house singing his thoughts to you." Get it.

At first glance, this 26-year-old singer/songwriter might easily be mistaken for another nameless talent. Before you pass him by, stop and take another look. Upon experiencing one of Tom's spirit filled performances, one soon realizes there is more to him than just six strings and a melody.

"Apart from growing up in the Catholic Church and a loving family, I still faced many difficult issues commonly seen today," admitted Wiesner. Making it thus far, his secret still and will always remain his faith in Jesus Christ.

"Where others similarly gifted might be tempted to draw
attention to themselves, through solid songwriting and
quality vocals Tom Wiesner consistently directs our focus upward to God and outward toward one another," commented Kenny Woodhull: Founder-Executive Director of the New City Cafe.

Tom always knew that he had been called to do something significant, but he never quite knew what that special thing was.

When he started singing at age 16 he could often be found in Church or the high school choir doing what he loved most. Soon after, he blossomed into a solo performer, and debuted the fall of 2002 in his hometown of Maryville, TN. Since that day the surrounding area has offered many opportunities for him to develop his love for music and ministry.

His heart truly desires to expand the ministry in whatever way God leads. Currently, he is working behind the scenes on promotion plans and a second album. His website www.tomwiesner.com is now worldwide. Along with his first ever Nashville Recorded Radio Release 'Unworthy'. Keep your little ears tuned to your local christian stations.

In sumation, Tom Wiesner is an excellent example of what the Youth, as well as music of American is thirsting for. Dr. Scott Rollins, Senior Minister of First Christian Church in Knoxville says it best:

"Tom Wiesner exudes charity and grace in so many ways,in his dealing with other people in the diverse places of his life, in his way of sharing his strong faith in Christ our Lord, in his caring for others with dedication and kindness. Tom's charity and grace also mark his music. From the sound of his music, to the clarity of his words, Tom's music provides anyone a respite from a world often marked by hate and greed, and into a world filled with love and hope."

I was exicted to hear that Tom was going to release his first CD some time back. I remember telling Tom that I wanted a copy because I have had the privilage of singing and playing with Tom in the John 23rd Choir at the Catholic Center, on the University of Tennessee. This CD is amazing, Tom makes it new, refreshing, alive, and even most wonderful, is the fact that's it all about his life and were the Good Lord is leading Tom is in ministry to all walks of life. If you have not purchased your copy, you should, as for his newest CD, Come to the Water. Both CD's are alive and wonderful created and produced. ---A friend of Tom's, Caleb Scroback---

After hearing Tom's first album "The Likes of You," I was very excited to hear music from his new release "Come to the Water." Each song that I came too became my new favorite Tom Wiesner song, and by the end of the cd I have 12 new favorites! He has done a great job in producing a musically diverse album. His lyrics are honest, and sure to touch the hearts of all of his listeners! Keep them coming Tom!
