Album Notes

Modern pop music's evil twin. By coupling unique music with a commitment to combining music with the visual and performance arts, Wigglepussy has garnered success in their local market of Columbus, Ohio almost immediately after their genesis. As they near readiness for release of their second full-length record, Life At The Gallows, the band is making plans to expand into 10 new markets, including Cleveland Ohio, Cincinnati Ohio, Louisville Kentucky, Chicago Illinois, Detroit Michigan, Indianapolis Indiana, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, etc, while continuing a national college radio and specialty campaign that began them as the #9 Most Added Album on CMJ for the week of 12/9/03, and has them currently getting rotation on over 100 stations across the country. For three years, Wigglepussy has been performing at venues throughout Ohio to a growing and dedicated fanbase of people who want to hear something that defies current trends in commercial music. Subsequently, the band is working to expand its fanbase in an effort to gain enough support to launch a national tour. Wigglepussy believes there are plenty of people in this country who are seeking to hear something honest and new. The members of the band come from separate states around the United States, but somehow ended up together in a basement at the start of 2001 and started scribbling on the walls. They are: Scott Lambridis (bass, New York), Bill Jordan (vocals, Maine), Lawrence Desilets (keyboards, Virginia) and Mister Earl on drums. Here's what others have said: "Equal parts Prince and King Crimson, with a touch of Nick Cave drama thrown in...pastoral space rock and menacing art funk..." -Rick Allen, The Other Paper "Wigglepussy takes a decidedly disjointed sound and dresses it up in everything from Boston are weird rock to modernized orchestral glam. The band is definitely as original as its name." -Ryan Horns, Columbus Alive "A keen sense of histrionic melodrama and a touch of pop that makes some of the oddest time-changes and instrumentation seem melodiously amiable. If you think Primus is 'too metal' and Ween isn't catchy enough, Life at the Gallows could well become your favorite disc." -Brian O'Neill, The Other Paper

REVIEWS

excellence in weirdness
author: mat
Another excellent product from this highly original band. You'll find more originality here than in the 99% of the "big" mainstream bands. Now I can't wait for their next CD. bring it on.

Excellent and unique

This CD is well thought out and an unique listening experience. The hint of bluesy jazz makes cd worth a listen. Become transfixed looking through "Door Lock Key Hole" and take a swig of "Transylvanian Moonshine" as you are transported into the band's unique sound and haunting lyrics.
