Youll hear raw un produced alternate versions of familiar songs form both the self titled debut which would be released 6months later and mans best friend released in 1983 other gems are included that never saw the light of day on either of those albums 17 year old deen is amazing for his time and for his age demonstrating the monster chops that eventually landed him gigs with BAD ENGLISCH OZZY PAUL RODGERS AND JOURNEY to name a few! Guitar guru mike varney;s latest discovery at the tme was Jeff Mark whose uli roth meets van halen style was most sought after in portland oregon back hen there wasn’t a dime a dozen shred heads! That’s what shrpanel was for to open the gates and let er rip and for the next couple years Jeff Reigned in terror as the labels hottest string slayer. Overall the BAND WAS A GREAT BAND LIVE with showstopping one upmanship form all members it was kiss without makeup (in spikes leather and hardware) and van halen all mixed up into a song oriented package. Also on the bill was culprit the iron maiden rush influenced band form seattle washington who the band still stays in touch with to this day “I was in Los Angeles at lax taking a piss after a long day of riding the hertz shuttle with my dad-(an intense marine corp man who got us to the airport 8 hours early! ) so there I was whizzing away and as usual made some bathroom joke to anyone whod listen and next to me was bassist scott earl… we exchanged numbers (after the business was finished)
