Album Notes

Wilde Thyme are three-and-a-bit guys from Brisbane, Australia, who play Celtic Rock. Through the 1990s and into the new millenium, they built up a huge following around the south-east Queensland Irish, medieval and folk communities with an uncompromisingly energetic live show. "About Time" reflects the feelings of their fans, who wanted a piece of the band to take home for years before they finally got around to recording this rockin' set of traditional tunes.

The 10-track set features an eclectic range of crowd-pleasing traditional tunes and songs, and instruments including fiddle, mandolin, whistle and banjo as well as guitars and bass, driven along by some groovy drums rhythms.

Originally recorded in 1999, the first run sold out at gigs and in Brisbane retailers. Hence, later runs are being made available in the Internet here for the first time. It was recorded, mixed and masterd by Ian Focks, who also plays with the boys on occasion.
